Why We Built Fantastic Resort & Venues

We wanted to create a place where couples could step away from the everyday and into a world that feels entirely their own—a place where, for one unforgettable chapter, everything revolves around them.

Even our name is a play on the word fantasy, because that is the feeling we hoped to create.

You begin to experience it the moment you enter the property. Beyond the large metal gates, a long drive shaded by centuries-old oak trees leads you away from the familiar. The landscape then opens into 166 acres of pecan trees, natural beauty and quiet Texas countryside.

At the heart of the property, past the estate’s watchful eagles, you arrive at our lakeside wedding venues. Here, we host only one wedding at a time, allowing your celebration to remain the focus of the day.

That sense of privacy is not accidental.

The lake naturally carries sound away from the ceremony area, helping preserve the peaceful atmosphere surrounding your vows. Walking trails guide resort guests around the wedding grounds rather than through them. From the placement of each path to the views surrounding every venue, the property was thoughtfully designed so your wedding remains at the center of the experience.

Each venue was created to feel as though it belongs within the pages of a story, blending luxury with the natural landscape around it.

You may imagine a modern, climate-controlled celebration surrounded by glass and light in the Crystal Glasshouse. Perhaps your vision feels more romantic and timeless, like a garden celebration from another era at La Fontaine Court. Or maybe you picture an outdoor ceremony framed by water, trees and open sky.

The vision was never to create one prescribed version of a wedding. It was to create a place where couples could shape their own experience and see their story reflected in the spaces around them.

The Family Behind the Vision

The idea for Fantastic Resort & Venues began with Lucy, a mother of three, our owner and the visionary behind the property.

After years of family vacations, weddings and overnight stays, she found inspiration in the qualities that made each experience memorable. Yet she also noticed what was often missing: a place that brought beautiful surroundings, meaningful time together and genuine comfort into one complete experience.

She began imagining the kind of place she hoped her own children might one day choose for their most important celebrations—a setting where families could gather, couples could slow down and an occasion could feel like more than a few scheduled hours.

When she could not find exactly what she envisioned, she decided to create it herself.

Lucy researched, assembled a team and searched for the right property until she found a piece of land with a remarkable character and legacy of its own. The goal was not to overwhelm that history with conventional development, but to create something that belonged within the landscape.

Why a Resort and Wedding Venue?

Weddings bring people together, but the traditional wedding day can pass remarkably quickly. Guests arrive, celebrate and leave, often before the couple has had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with everyone they invited.

We wanted to make room for more.

By bringing wedding venues and overnight accommodations together on one private property, couples can extend the celebration beyond the ceremony and reception. The experience might include time with family the evening before, a quiet morning surrounded by nature or one final gathering before everyone returns home.

The accommodations were designed with the same balance of nature and comfort found throughout the resort.

Our space pods allow guests to sleep beneath a glass ceiling while enjoying the comforts expected from a thoughtfully appointed suite. Our glamping tents offer an immersive outdoor experience without asking guests to give up air conditioning, private bathrooms or a comfortable place to rest.

Here, sleeping beneath the stars does not mean sacrificing comfort. It means experiencing the landscape more closely.
